Mrs. Tannia Laracuente-Martinez is a performing and recording artist, a classically trained musician in operatic and piano studies, a teacher and a mother. She founded Kendall Music Studios in 2008; former COO/Founder of Coral Gables Productions, LLC, D/b/a Kendall Studios, former Director of Music Academy of Coral Gables, Concert Hall Director of Yamaha Concert Hall, and TV Technical Vocal Judge of the reality show “Buscando Estrellas” on AmericaTeVe, Channel 41.  She is also a Music Professor at Miami-Dade College 'MDC', Wolfson Campus.

 

With over 20 years of experience in the music and acting field, she also devotes her time instructing children through piano, vocal technique, vocal coaching, and performing skills. She imparted Master Classes and Vocal Coaching at the Theatre Arts and Vocal Magnet Departments of Miami Arts Studio (M.A.S.) at Zelda Glazer 6-12th grade and as a Judge-In-Residence during the entering auditions for upcoming students. She has a passion for working with the neurodiverse population and has designed a unique method of instruction achieving extraordinary results. 

 

Mrs. Laracuente-Martinez has also helped many of her students prepare for and earn acceptance into Magnet School programs and prestigious Performing Arts colleges, acquire Superior to Critic's Choice highest levels recognition and/or scholarships. Mrs. Laracuente-Martinez speaks Italian moderately and is fluent in the Spanish language.

 

Mrs. Laracuente-Martinez has also consulted in the division of Artist Management for the development of new talents with different record labels and TV Networks. Additionally, she was a guest Judge for different Vocal Competitions like “Objetivo Fama” by Univision Network, Primer Festival de la Canción, Primer Festival Karaoke, and the reality show “Yo Canto” produced by NBC/Telemundo Network, Puerto Rico.

 

Mrs. Laracuente-Martinez is a CUM LAUDE graduate from the University of Puerto Rico, with a Major in Drama and a Minor in Music. She also attended the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico taking piano and classical-vocal studies. As a Soprano-Lyric/Spinto classical vocalist, Mrs. Laracuente-Martinez continued operatic studies under the tutelage of the world-renowned Opera Vocal Coach Manny Perez. She also received a HONORIS CAUSA Certificate from N.A.F.A & U.N.P.A.M University in 2007 for maintaining a prestigious music studio and her dedication to the KS Children’s Choir.

Mrs. Laracuente-Martinez has also helped many of her students gain acceptance into Magnet schools programs and prepared them for their auditions, acquiring Superior to Critic's Choice highest levels recognition. One of her most successful pupils, Joshua Grosso, won the 2012 recipient of the “Jimmy Award” for Best Male Actor given to the nation’s top High School musical theater performer.  Along with receiving a $10,000 cash prize, Mr. Grosso received a full scholarship to Carnegie Mellon University, one of the country’s top Universities for the Performing Arts.
